Case Study · Residential Astro-Vastu
A couple who had almost lost hope, one unexpected imbalance in their home, and an honest account of what a Vastu assessment can and cannot claim about something this personal.
01 · The Situation
A home can look beautiful. The rooms can be clean. Everything can appear perfectly normal. And the people living inside it may still feel that something is not working.
In 2018 I met Mrs Saroj and her husband. They had been through something no couple should have to experience repeatedly: multiple miscarriages. They had explored medical options and sought professional help, and the weight of repeated loss had taken its toll.
By the time they approached me, this was no longer a question about a house. It was about a couple who wanted to believe their family could still grow.
02 · The Question I Was Answering
My role was not to replace medical treatment, and I said so at the outset.
The question I could examine was narrower than the one they were living with: is there something in this home creating a Vastu imbalance that ought to be corrected regardless?
That distinction matters. A consultant who takes on a medical question is doing harm, whatever the outcome. A consultant who examines the environment, states the limits of what that examination covers, and leaves the medical question with the doctors, is doing the job.
I assessed the property in the usual way: the directional zones, the spatial functions, the placements, and the relationship between the different areas of the home. One location stood out immediately. The east-north-east.
03 · What the Assessment Found
From an ordinary interior-design perspective there was nothing unusual about it. It was an appliance in a sensible spot. From the Vastu perspective, the ENE was carrying a heavy, mechanically active object in a zone I treat as particularly sensitive.
In the tradition I follow, the ENE is associated with the energy field of Parjanya Devta, connected with rain, nourishment, renewal, and the forces that sustain life.
Sometimes the problem is not what is missing from a home. It is what has been placed where it should not be.
04 · What Was Recommended
The washing machine was relocated out of the east-north-east sector entirely.
To the north-west, which suits a mechanically active appliance within the framework being applied.
No renovation, no additional purchases, no remedies layered on top of a correction that had not yet been tested.
The recommendation cost them an afternoon and nothing else. That was the whole intervention.
05 · What Followed
Several months later, Mrs Saroj conceived again. The pregnancy progressed normally and she delivered a healthy baby.
For the couple the experience was profoundly emotional. After everything they had been through, holding their child meant something far greater than a successful consultation. They believed that restoring balance in their home had been an important part of their journey.
06 · The Honest Answer
This is where I want to be precise, because the subject deserves it.
A Vastu consultation must never be presented as a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment, and least of all in matters involving pregnancy, miscarriage or fertility. There are many medical and biological reasons for pregnancy loss, and every one of them requires proper medical evaluation.
What I can report is what I observed. The home had a significant Vastu condition in the ENE. A heavy appliance was relocated. The couple subsequently experienced a successful pregnancy and a healthy delivery. They considered the correction an important part of their journey.
I cannot tell you the correction caused the outcome, and I would not trust anyone who told you otherwise. What I can say is narrower: the home had an imbalance worth correcting on its own terms, it was corrected at no real cost, and the family's own account is that it mattered to them. Whether it did what they believe it did is a fair question, and I would rather leave it open than close it dishonestly.
07 · The Deeper Lesson
Parjanya represents renewal. After dryness comes rain. After stagnation comes movement. After uncertainty, things can begin again.
The most important change in this case was not a washing machine moving from one room to another. It was the shift from asking why is this happening to us, to being able to think perhaps things can change.
08 · What an Assessment Looks At
I do not look at isolated objects. I look at the relationship between direction, function, placement, movement, and the people living in the space.
Where it sits, and who sleeps in which part of it.
The zone it occupies, and what it faces.
Its position relative to the centre of the plan.
Where water is stored, drawn and drained.
Mass and mechanical activity, in a zone that may not suit either.
An area that has quietly stopped being used for anything.
Individually these can seem insignificant. Together they create a picture, and that picture is usually invisible until someone knows what to look for.
Start With a Diagnostic
If something in your home has felt persistently off, do not begin by adding remedies. Understand the pattern first: what is actually happening in the space, which zones need attention, and what should be corrected before anything is bought or moved.
This case involves pregnancy loss and fertility. Astro-Vastu is not medical care and must never be used in place of it. If you are experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss or difficulty conceiving, please consult a qualified doctor. Details shared with the family's permission; the name has been changed. Individual circumstances vary and no specific outcome is promised or guaranteed.
